All international students are automatically billed and enrolled for the DSU International Health Plan when they begin their studies except international students on co-op/exchange in the fall term.

If you are an international student going on co-op/exchange in the fall term you do NOT have coverage under the DSU International Health Plan and must OPT IN.

If you have family (spouse, children) you want to enrol for coverage you must enrol them when they arrive to Canada. You must complete a family application each year.

To opt in, please complete the opt in form found HERE and email, fax or drop off to the DSU Health Plan Office. 

The appropriate FEE for coverage will be billed to your student account.

• If you started in the Fall term, the opt in period is August 4, 2020 - September 18, 2020
• If you started in the Winter term, the opt in period is December 10, 2020 - January 15, 2021
• If you started in the Spring term, the opt in deadline is April 12, 2021 - May 21, 2021
